Auction of Cover Art from Rand's Seminal Novels, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged


Burlingame, CA -- Quent Cordair Fine Art announces the auction of the original cover art from the recent editions of The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, Ayn Rand's bestselling novels. The art deco-like images, created by Nicholas Gaetano, have graced the covers of the novels since 1993. As the sales of the books continue to soar (nearly two million copies in the last seven years), so these images have become tied to the public's growing awareness Ayn Rand's writings.

Mr. Gaetano also designed the Ayn Rand postage stamp, issued by the U.S. Postal Service in 1999. He created the cover art on the following recent editions of Miss Rand's books: Anthem, Philosophy: Who Needs It, Capitalism: the Unknown Ideal, The New Intellectual, The Early Ayn Rand, The Romantic Manifesto, and The Virtue of Selfishness.

The net proceeds from the sales will be donated by the current owner to the Ayn Rand Institute.
